Antierosion Matresses
The Trinter anti-erosion and reinforcing mattress is a flexible geocomposite made by three superimposed polyester meshes with high tensile breaking strength and low distortion leve, thus obtaining a wavy volumetric configuration:
- a PP mesh with square braids for improved resistance
- a HDPE mesh with rhombic braids on top of the base mesh
- a second HDPE mesh with rhombic braids attached to the first in such a manner as to form waves. The two rhombic braided meshes play a role in the fixation of the vegetal soil.
The open volumetric structure stabilizes the slopes, ensuring an increase in the friction angle between the surface soil and the rest of the geosynthetic elements (geomembranes, drainage geocomposite, bentonite geocomposite). Moreover, the increased tensile breaking strength and low creep provides for a longer reinforcement of the slopes.
The mattress forms a thick layer which prevents supplementary soil erosion and helps roots penetration. The wavy volumetric network has cavities in which there can be added supplementary soil quantities.
APPLICATIONS
- Anti-erosion prevention for large, high-angle slopes;
- Anti-erosion protection for waste dumps shut down;
- Banks protection for rivers and channels;
- Urban landscaping.
ADVANTAGES
- A new solution for prevention of slopes and river banks erosion, also ensuring a bidirectional horizontal reinforcement where needed by adding an elastic geogrid.
