Anti-crack Geocomposites
The Bistex® and Armasphalt® geocomposites are made out of a polyester geotextile with a fiber glass mesh sewed over.
By totally ensuring the three functions requested: reinforcement (R), anti-cracking (RC) and barrier (B), Bistex® and Armapshalt® geocomposites are used as anti-cracking and reinforcement layer for highways, national and county roads, airport runways, roads, handling platforms, car parking areas.
APPLICATIONS
- Reinforcement and anti-cracking layer positioned between the bituminous layers or cement concrete and the wear layer;
- Anti-cracking layer on top of road foundation made out of ballast stabilized with cement or lean concrete and simple or double bituminous treatments.
- Anti-cracking layer for simple or double bituminous treatments, for longer life cycle;
- Arming of bitumen layers on widened roads, against crack propagation;
- Road rehabilitation, between the wear layer and degraded wear.
ADVANTAGES
- The fiberglass mesh ensures a maximum elongation of 2%;
- The geotextile was manufactured in order to absorb an optimum quantity of pure bitumen/bituminous emulsion, thus being transformed into a barrier against water infiltrations from upper layers to the base layers.
- Stops crack propagation to upper layers therefore increasing the life cycle of roads;
- The product is environmentally friendly.
Because it’s an UNIQUE product on the geocomposites market developed for road construction works and for the wear asphalt layers, it has the following characteristics:
- B2B CONSPROD is the ONLY geocomposite producer which uses a patented and proprietary solution of weaving the polyester geotextile and the fiber glass mesh;
- BISTEX® is definitely the ONLY geocomposite manufactured and patented in Romania which totally fulfills the provisions of the European Standards in force by ensuring the three functions requested: reinforcement (R), anti-cracking (RC) and barrier (B).
